ABOUT THE AWAY END
Welcome to The Away End, and pick your poison.
Written by the passionate, pint-guzzling, football-obsessive, The Away End is a new football website geared toward readers with a voice. Our lineup of scatterbrained but topical columns is written to generate discussion, banter, and even sub-par humor. Each week the site will release the latest editions of its ranging features, emphasizing a new topic of debate or deliberation in every article. Our enticing writing that braves the tones of edgy, opinionated pub talk is blended with highbrow and informative direction.
Here, you’ll be able to find a column to suit your taste. Whether it’s our featured articles, The Home Front, Quixote’s Corner, or The Shaky Stool, every addition is an invitation to weigh in. From American keyboards to screens all over the world, we promise that each time you return you’ll leave with a conversation to bounce off your personal soccer soundboards.

Editors and Contributors
Bobby Mohr, Founder, Editor, Contributor
Trick pony and right full back don’t often mix, but that was Bobby Mohr as a university athlete. However, the post graduate rendition of Mohr today goes a little something like this: world traveler, coach, youth national teams’ equipment manager, beer explorer, and journalist. Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Bobby has bounced around to the larger Great Lakes cities, first Milwaukee and now Chicago. A seduced enthusiast of Spanish football from a young age, he acquired a Spanish minor at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, not for resume bolstering, but to read Spanish sports news mediums without the aid of Google Translate. He now lays claims to The Away End’s The Shaky Stool and Quixote’s Corner as well as being a hefty adder The Book Shelf. Previously he has written and/or contributed to Howler Magazine’s web edition, VAVEL, Hipster Manager, and Australia’s The TURF plus various blogs.
